i move & make art: to make sense of it all, then turn it into light, into something with wings; to communicate & connect. creative practice feels like translating lived experience into something visible, knowable, something we can share.
i am inspired by the impact of seasons on being,: in nature, as reflected by my familiars ((the trees & skies of western pa)), in body, across time and use, through sensation and memory.
i like to find overlaps, loopholes, questions, & contradictions, & throw them all into a comforting soup.
collaboration is care, is community, is conversation, hope & liberation - isn’t the dream to dance and create with beloveds? i will share with you something that has roots in survivorship, is sustained by the rich soil of continued not-knowing, shaped & nourished by the work we do together, til it needs to be transformed again.
